NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — The severe thunderstorms in Northeast Ohio late Wednesday night and into Thursday morning resulted in severe damage for at least one local landmark.
In footage captured by 3News, the roof of The Pinball Shoppe in North Olmsted collapsed as a result of Wednesday evening's storms. Melissa Rossi, The Pinball Shoppe's co-owner, told 3News that nobody was injured and that the shop planned to move forward -- one way or another.
"We aren't throwing in the towel," she said. "If we need to rebuild then we'll do it."
Located at 27693 Butternut Ridge Rd., The Pinball Shoppe has been a family-owned business selling old school pinball, video game and table games for the past 44 years. Its online shop can be accessed at https://www.pinballshoppe.com/.
A GoFundMe page has been started in order to help rebuild the business and get it back on its feet. Anyone interested in donating can click HERE.
Wednesday night's storms also resulted in flash flooding throughout the area and left thousands without power. More information and updates can be found here.
