NORTH CANTON, Ohio — Garrison Keeslar had 24 points and six rebounds and Lakewood alum Tim Smith Jr. added a double-double as Walsh beat Lake Erie Saturday night by a final of 72-60.
The Cavaliers (12-4, 8-2 G-MAC) moved into a tie for first in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference with Stark County rival Malone. They shot 53% from the field, including 44% from 3-point range.
Jonny Manning and Jordan Burton led Lake Erie (8-7, 2-6) with 17 points apiece, with the Grafton native Manning adding 10 boards. The Storm have now lost three in a row, including the last two to the top two teams in the league.
Lake Erie will be at Ohio Dominican Monday afternoon, while Walsh will be off until Thursday night when they head to Trevecca Nazarene.
