SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — Due to flash flooding in the area, drivers in Shaker Heights are asked to please avoid the 2000 block of South Park Boulevard near the Shaker Nature Center.
The flooding comes as severe storms on Thursday night resulted in damage across Northeast Ohio. Currently, tens of thousands in the region remain without power as a result of Thursday's storms.
Shaker Heights Animal Hospital will also be closed on Friday due to a power outage from last night's storm.
As for Friday, some lingering showers are possible, but it's shaping up to be a beautiful day -- and even more beautiful weekend -- in Northeast Ohio. 3News meteorologist Hollie Strano's Friday forecast calls for temperatures in the low-mid 70s, before climbing into the lows 80s during a mostly sunny Saturday and Sunday.
